PLOT SUMMARY

In 2020, devastating wildfires nearly destroyed California's $85bn/year wine industry. Smoke choked out the landscape for months on end, poisoning the grapes and destroying billions of dollars in wine and berries. FireWine takes us to the most renowned winemakers in California and documents their fight to overcome the greatest threat to wine-making out west: wildfire. Explore the two inexorable components of human society for millennia:

fermentation and combustion

PROJECT OUTLINE

With hours of original front-line wildfire footage in the can, and interviews being arranged with the finest winemakers in California, wine historians, the blue-collar mobile bottlers who struggle to earn a living bottling wine while dodging the fires. The same filmmaking team that created 'Hotshot' is seeking partners to join us in completing our next feature length documentary.

'FireWine' is shot on RED in 5K & 8K, so it meets and exceeds quality standards for all major streaming services, networks, and film festivals. Our most recent project, 'Hotshot' has not only earned the praise of major publications like The Chicago Tribune as it has become the highest-rated firefighter film (of any kind) of all time, but it also became profitable after just 2 months into release, a feat that most documentaries (and narrative films) never achieve.

Our goal is to film the fall grape harvest, gather interviews, and enter post-production before the end of 2024, with a completed picture by festival season in 2025. Having managed our own distribution to major streamers with 'Hotshot', we can guarantee distribution on Apple, Amazon Prime, and Google Play independently, as well.
